1551-15. 6 American Arts & Crafts Pottery Plates of circular form with each plate's rough surface fired with a different color glaze (cream, green, blue, purple, orange, and red) fully on the front and partially on the back; most marked Hull House Kilns Chicago. Hull House was founded in 1889 by Jane Addams and Ellen Gates Starr in 1889; the Hull-House Kilns were established by Myrtle Meritt French in 1927 and operated until 1937 with most of the potters being Mexican immigrants living in Chicago neighorhoods. 8.0" diameter. More inforamation about Hull-House Kilns may be found in Pots of Promise: Mexicans and Potter at Hull-House, 1920-1940 edited by Cheryl R. Ganz and Margaret Strobel (Urbana & Chicago: University of Chicago Press, 2004) inspired by the 2000 exhibition "Pots of Promise: Mexicans, Reformers, and the Hull-House Kilns 1920-1940" at the University fo Illinois-Chicago. $ 300.

1555-19. Pair Antique Chinese Ceramic Ginger Jars of circular apple form on ring foot, the cream-colored ground painted with fruit and foliate decoration alternating with latticework shaped calligraphy(?) between decorated bands at lip- and foot-rim; unmarked 19th century. 8.0" hight overall; 7.25" high to lip, 3.75" lip diameter, 6.0" foot diameter, 9.0" wide. Two mis-matched covers of similar coloring but differing decoration, one with replaced finial. Some chips, scratches, and one vase with age cracks to the base. $ 550.
1555-27. Antique Chinese Ceramic Ginger Jar of circular apple form on ring foot, the cream-colored ground painted with three women and a child in a garden on one side with calligraphy opposite; unmarked 19th century. 8.25" high overall, 6.75" high to lip, 3.38" lip diameter, 5.0" foot diameter, 8.5" width. Replacement wood cover, some chips to lip. $ 175.
1555-29. Chinese Ceramic Hat or Wig Stand of cylindrical form on a flat base painted with birds on a flowering tree branch against an allover cream background; unmarked 19th/20th century. 11.25" high, 4.9" diameter. $ 150.
1555-30. Chinese Ceramic Hat or Wig Stand of cylindrical form on a flat base painted with two boys and a woman playing with a cat in a garden allover cream background; unmarked 19th/20th century. 11.38" high, 5.0" lip diameter, 4.75" base diameter. Hairline cracks on side. $ 110.

1562-56. 4 German Porcelain Salad or Dessert Plates of gilt-edged cream-colored circular form decorated with different birds in the 'Audubon Birds' pattern decorated with different birds including a "Yellow Warbler", a "Cardinal", a "Barn Swallow", and a "Redstar"; manufactured by Hutschenreuther of Selb Bavaria and imported by Paul A. Straub & Co. of New York NY c.1948-1970. 0.75" high, 8.0" diameter. $ 30.

Antique Japanese 'Imari' Porcelain Bowl of shaped circular form on ring foot, the interior and exterior lobed sides painted with four different vignettes alternating lobe to lobe, the center painted with a phoenix(?) in a garden; unmarked 19th century. 3.75" high, 9.75" lip diameter, 4.5" foot diameter. $ 450.

Antique Japanese 'Imari' Porcelain Bowl of shaped circular form on ring foot, the interior and exterior lobed sldes painted with floral decoration, the centerpainted with a blue two-handled plant stand; unmarked 19th century. 3.25" high, 7.62" lip diameter, 3.25" foot diameter.
