 Kirk 'Repoussι' Pattern

This pattern was introduced by S. Kirk & Son in the late 1880's. Pieces from the introduction thru 1896 will be marked "S. Kirk & Son" with either "10.15" or "925" above "1000". Beginning in 1896 the firm name and mark became "S. Kirk & Son Co." and first appeared with "925" above "1000" which later became "925/1000". The name and mark changed again in 1924 to "S. Kirk & Son Inc." which appeared with "Sterling", although both the "925/1000" and "Sterling" marks can appear on pieces c.1920-1930.  During the 1940's the mark changed to "S. Kirk & Son" along with "Sterling" which is the mark which persists to the present. These pages are from a 1914 S. Kirk & Son Co. Catalogue that lists the various pieces available at that time.
